Happy birthday Nana!

So today has been a big day for Poppy and the puppies.
The puppies have been combatting the boredom entailed in living in a cardboard box by playing games. These 2 decided to play hide & seek...

The black & tan puppy decided to start a bundle during nap time. It didn't go down too well. The others didn't even wake up. Oh well, there's always tomorrow.

On top of all the puppies excitement in finding new games to play, today was also human nana's birthday!! Poppy couldn't resist leaving the puppies for a minute to pose for this picture with her mum and sister. She's a sucker for a selfie!

Along with all of nana's birthday cards, we received our first new babies card from great uncle Paul & great great auntie Wendy! Thanks guys, we love it. To be quite honest, we're surprised more people don't send new babies cards when puppies are born!

After such an exciting day, they were all pleased to have a night time cuddle with their mumma.

Fathers for justice!

The puppies were born almost 2 days ago now, and Teddy (the baby-daddy), still has not been allowed to meet them.

After woofing it over with Panda (auntie to the pups), and staging a 2 day Fathers for Justice style stake out outside the kitchen door, Teddy decided he had no option other than to drown his sorrows at his local.

After a long, and rewarding sesh, Teddy has resumed his silent protest outside the kitchen door, and will stay there until he is granted visitation rights.

Meanwhile, Panda has been searching for an Aunties for Justice group to no avail. After this fruitless search, all that was left to do really, was have a little sulk & a cry. I of course, lent my moral support.

'Can we walk?'

As after any great NYE, where you rolled into bed at 5am, we woke up feeling groggy & exhausted. However, waking up to a box full of puppies is a much nicer way to welcome in the new year, than waking up to a raging hangover.

Poppy is such an amazing mum already; she will not leave her puppies side, even to go for a wee... until Matt rolls out of bed at 11am, when she momentarily forgets her maternal duties for a little flirt. Even then, she was gone for less than 30 seconds before rushing back to her puppies.

The pups have been trying to walk swim around the whelping box today.

After a busy day of figuring out he was no longer in the womb, it all got a little too much for this gorgeous pup, and he decided to take a quick nap on the first hand he could find.

Happy New Year!

Whilst most people were out last night partying their way into 2014, I was at home.

Similarly to my party-going friends; we stayed up until early hours of the morning all packed together in a dark room. However, instead of drinking and dancing our way into the new year, we had the most amazing experience of watching 5 tiny puppies enter the world!
